Accreditation
With the introduction of the Training and Development Plan in 2006 it was decided to not only develop employees of the company but the company itself. Having been an ISO 9001 registered firm since 1996 we were aware of the benefits such accreditation has for small firms and so embarked upon gaining further recognition for the things we do on a daily basis. In November 2006 we received Investors in People recognition, of which, we are extremely proud. We believe it highlights our commitment to developing our workforce skills which in turn improves our performance to our clients. In December 2006 we achieved the BS EN ISO 14001:2004 standard in Environmental Management Systems. This was very important to us as, like the majority of people, we were becoming increasingly aware of the accumulative impact society's actions are having on the environment. By developing an EMS we will undoubtedly reduce our company's impact on the environment. |
Having registered for Achilles in October 2008 we were subjected to a rigorous audit of our Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality systems. Achieving no less than 82% in each of these areas we were awarded the UVDB Verify standard which is confirmation we meet the stringent criteria required to get onto tender lists for the various utility companies. As all of the accreditations are subject to regular reassessment we can be sure that our company will continue to implement and improve the management systems already in place.
