Contract and Civil Engineering Accreditation, Highlands & Islands |
Civil Engineering Accreditations With the introduction of the Training and Development Plan in 2006 it was decided to not only develop employees of the company but the company itself. Having been an ISO 9001 registered firm since 1996 we were aware of the benefits such accreditation has for small firms and so embarked upon gaining further recognition for the things we do on a daily basis. In December 2006 we achieved the BS EN ISO 14001:2004 standard in Environmental Management Systems. This was very important to us as, like the majority of people, we were becoming increasingly aware of the accumulative impact society’s actions are having on the environment. By developing an EMS we have undoubtedly reduced our company’s impact on the environment. Having registered for Achilles in October 2008 we were subjected to a rigorous audit of our Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality systems. |
March 2010 also saw our application for registration with Constructionline accepted, which, like Achilles, demonstrates that we have met strict pre-qualification standards relevant to procurement in both the private and public sector. As all three of the above accreditations are subject to regular reassessment we can be sure that our company will continue to implement and improve the management systems already in place. |
